Church Street Retreat Walk to Egg Harbor | Heated Floors & Fire Pit
Size –
Sleeps 2-8🍂 EGG HARBOR ON FOOT, A QUIET YARD TO COME HOME TO
Most Door County rentals make you choose: in town, or away from it. This one doesn't. The shops, galleries, and restaurants of Egg Harbor are a five-to-ten-minute walk from the front porch — close enough that nobody has to be the designated driver, far enough that the backyard stays genuinely quiet.
Church Street Retreat is a modern craftsman home with the finishes to match the name: a chef's kitchen built around Jenn-Air appliances, heated floors underfoot, Kohler fixtures, and a tiled double-head shower in the primary suite. Three bedrooms and two and a half baths sleep 8.
In fall, this is the easiest home base on the peninsula — Peninsula State Park's color drives and overlooks start ten minutes north, the orchards and wineries are minutes in every direction, and dinner is a short walk home under the streetlights.
🚶 THE FIVE-MINUTE COMMUTE TO EVERYTHING
• Steps from the Cupola House shops
• 5–10 minutes on foot to downtown Egg Harbor's restaurants and galleries
• About a 10-minute walk to the harbor and beach for sunset
• 5 min drive distance to the Door County wine trolley stop
• 10 minutes by car to Peninsula State Park; Fish Creek just beyond
Walk to dinner. Wander the shops. Catch the sunset over the harbor. Then come home without getting in a car.
🔥 THE BACKYARD: PRIVATE, TREE-LINED, BUILT FOR EVENINGS
Behind the house, tall trees close the yard in and the town disappears. The fire pit has seating for the whole group, the patio handles dinner outside, and the covered front porch is made for a slow morning coffee.
Fall evenings here are simple: a fire, a blanket, and the kind of dark you forget exists a short walk from a town.
🍽 A KITCHEN WORTH COOKING IN
• Jenn-Air appliance suite — built for a real cook, forgiving for everyone else
• Generous prep space and a layout that keeps the cook in the conversation
• Large dining table with room for the whole group — dinners, puzzles, and games that run late
• Stocked with cookware, knives, and the staples, so a fall market haul has somewhere to go
Harvest season is this kitchen's season — orchard apples, cherry everything, and fish boil leftovers all welcome.
🛌 THREE BEDROOMS, BUILT FOR REAL REST
Primary Suite — King. A true retreat: king bed, quality linens, double vanity with Kohler fixtures, and a stunning tiled shower with two shower heads.

🥂 GROUPS, GATHERINGS & THREE GENERATIONS
This house has hosted every version of a Door County group weekend — and the layout is why it works. The open living space keeps everyone together, the bedrooms give everyone an exit, and two and a half baths mean mornings don't become negotiations.
Girls' weekends, milestone birthdays, and family gatherings are all welcome. Message ahead and we'll help you plan it.

🍁 FALL, SPECIFICALLY
September — Warm days, harvest markets, and the town still humming. Patio dinners and first fires.
October — Peak color ten minutes away in Peninsula State Park, Pumpkin Patch Festival weekend in town, and the fire pit earning its keep nightly.
November — Egg Harbor exhales. The shops stay open, the crowds go home, restaurant tables are easy, and heated floors meet you at the bedroom door. The dining table and kitchen make Thanksgiving here genuinely simple.
🏡 ABOUT THE PROPERTY LAYOUT
The home is fully private — no shared walls, no shared spaces. Above the detached garage there is a separate guest suite with its own private entrance, which we rent independently; the only thing shared is the driveway. Suite guests do not have access to the backyard, which is reserved for the home. The garage itself stays closed during stays.
